Two epidemics that are interacting which each other

One is the loneliness, and the other is narcissism

I believe narcissicm has gone from something that people had and you could stay

away from them

To something closer to an epidemic

And I think social media has done that

What I’ve learned about this narcissicm thing

I used to think it was people who thought they were great, thought they were

great, thought they wer great

I used to think it was peopl who thought they were great, this narcissism thing

It’s not about people thinking they’re great, thinking they’re great

It’s about people who have broken self esteem

Just completely broken

And the way they deal their broken self-esteem, is by belittling other people

Or one upping them, bragging, putting them down, shutting them down,

thwarting them in any way you can

Now I used to look as those people cause there everywhere

But man are there more of them?

There are right, and I think it’s because people who might have been sort of on

the border in that way just got pushed over the edge by social media

It’s not about people thinking they’re great, thinking they’re great

It’s about people who have broken self esteem

Just completely broken

Imagine living in a world where everybody is criticising everybody for

everything

That’s our world, we live in a world where everybody is criticising everybody

for everything

Imagine that

How would you like to be a teenager and be criticised on everything

That shirt you wore that one day, that embarrassing thing you did just once,

but somebody saw it

But you’re not as pretty or as handsome or as strong or as good at sports as

this other person

It’s gotta be devastating, devastating

And there’s just more of it, because it’s in your face and you are seeing the

impossible images of people you want to be like, but you’re not etcetera

Das eine ist die Einsamkeit und das andere der Narzissmus

Ich glaube, Narzissmus ist von etwas gegangen, das die Leute hatten, und du könntest bleiben

Weg von denen

Etwas näher an einer Epidemie

Und ich denke, Social Media hat das getan

Was ich über diese Narzissmus-Sache gelernt habe

Früher dachte ich, es seien Leute, die dachten, sie seien großartig, dachten, sie wären es

toll, fand sie toll

Es geht um Menschen mit gebrochenem Selbstwertgefühl

Einfach komplett kaputt

Und die Art und Weise, wie sie mit ihrem gebrochenen Selbstwertgefühl umgehen, besteht darin, andere Menschen herabzusetzen

Oder einer, der sie hochhebt, prahlt, sie niedermacht, sie abschaltet,

vereiteln Sie sie auf jede erdenkliche Weise

Jetzt habe ich früher so geschaut, wie diese Leute dort überall verursachen

Aber Mann, gibt es mehr von ihnen?

Es gibt Recht, und ich denke, das liegt an Leuten, die irgendwie dran gewesen sein könnten

Die Grenze wurde auf diese Weise durch die sozialen Medien einfach über den Rand gedrängt

Stellen Sie sich vor, Sie leben in einer Welt, in der jeder jeden kritisiert

alles

Das ist unsere Welt, wir leben in einer Welt, in der jeder jeden kritisiert

für alles

Stell dir das vor

Wie würde es Ihnen gefallen, ein Teenager zu sein und für alles kritisiert zu werden

Dieses Hemd, das du an diesem einen Tag getragen hast, diese peinliche Sache, die du nur einmal getan hast

aber jemand hat es gesehen

Aber du bist nicht so hübsch oder so gutaussehend oder so stark oder so gut im Sport wie

dieser andere Mensch

Es muss verheerend, verheerend sein

Und es gibt einfach mehr davon, weil es in deinem Gesicht ist und du das siehst

unmögliche Bilder von Leuten, die du sein möchtest, aber du bist es nicht und so weiter
