My job is done for now at least

My calendar is filled with vacancies

In the days ahead I’m looking to

I’ve done all that’s been asked of me to do

Now I’m taking off and cutting loose

There’s a clock and I’m off it

I could end up anywhere I please

The exciting places that I could roam through

Or I could melt into my couch at home, too

Either way I’ll use the time to decompress

Before I’m back again I’m cutting loose

Sometimes my favorite plan is to have no plans at all

To unwind with no demand beforehand

It always won’t be, set or permanent

I’ll be back to work eventually

Mein Kalender ist voller Stellenangebote

In den kommenden Tagen freue ich mich darauf

Ich habe alles getan, was von mir verlangt wurde

Versuchen zu beeindrucken

Jetzt hebe ich ab und schneide los

Da ist eine Uhr und ich bin weg

Und es fühlt sich so herrlich an, nirgendwo zu sein

Weil ich eine Tasche habe

Mit ein wenig Bargeld

Auto mit Benzintank

Und nirgendwo zu sein

Mit Zeit zum Töten und Tagen zum Ergreifen

Ich könnte überall landen, wo ich will

Die aufregenden Orte, durch die ich streifen könnte

Oder ich könnte auch zu Hause mit meiner Couch verschmelzen

So oder so werde ich die Zeit zum Dekomprimieren nutzen

Bevor ich wieder zurück bin, breche ich ab

Da ist eine Uhr und ich bin weg

Und es fühlt sich so herrlich an, nirgendwo zu sein

Manchmal ist es mein Lieblingsplan, überhaupt keine Pläne zu haben

Zum Entspannen ohne vorherige Nachfrage

Es wird nicht immer festgelegt oder dauerhaft sein

Irgendwann werde ich wieder arbeiten

Bald werde ich im Einsatz sein

Aber das ist belanglos

Denn bis dahin werde ich loslassen
