Horace the horse on the merry-go-round

Went up and down, round and round

He’s been sad since the day he found

He’s the very last horse on the merry-go-round

The music began and away they go

High and low, to and fro

Poor old Horace would always say

«I'm the very last horse again today»

How he tried and tried and tried

But he just never could win

Horace cried and cried and cried,

'Cause all the other horses were ahead of him

Then came the day on the merry-go-round

Horace turned, looked around, then said, «Gosh, oh gee!

I’m the very first horse on the merry-go-round

The others are following me!»

Horace das Pferd auf dem Karussell

Ging auf und ab, rund und rund

Seit dem Tag, an dem er es gefunden hat, ist er traurig

Er ist das allerletzte Pferd auf dem Karussell

Die Musik begann und los ging es

Hoch und niedrig, hin und her

Der arme alte Horace würde immer sagen

«Ich bin heute wieder das allerletzte Pferd»

Wie er es versuchte und versuchte und versuchte

Aber er konnte einfach nie gewinnen

Horace weinte und weinte und weinte,

Weil alle anderen Pferde vor ihm waren

Dann kam der Tag auf dem Karussell

Horace drehte sich um, sah sich um und sagte dann: »Meine Güte, oh Mann!

Ich bin das allererste Pferd auf dem Karussell

Die anderen folgen mir!»
