i feel like fay wray face to face with king kong

sometimes i wonder what i am

i feel like i’m living in a hologram

it doesn’t seem to matter what’s right or wrong

everybody’s grabbing and coming on strong

Ich war die Straße hinauf in der Easy Street

allen dabei zuzusehen, wie sie herumstehen und schummeln

ich höre die stadt wie einen sirenenchor singen

irgendein Narr hat versucht, diese Stadt in Brand zu setzen

TV-Prediger schreit «Komm mit»

Ich fühle mich wie Fay Wray von Angesicht zu Angesicht mit King Kong

aber Mama will nur die ganze Nacht im Barrelhouse bleiben

manchmal frage ich mich, was ich bin

ich fühle mich, als würde ich in einem hologramm leben

es scheint nicht wichtig zu sein, was richtig oder falsch ist

alle packen zu und kommen stark voran
