I’m a simple creature

Driving into lapping ripples headfirst

A bug with no out rage

I’ve got solace in the windowsill

The stage is emptied

All the pageantry is gone

But what if the abyss is all there is

And I’m just somebody’s gagman

In a wild circus show?

Am I flesh and gore or dream and vapor?

Or just a clown?

Laughing at the ultimate comedown

A fool without a crown

Infinitely bound

To the ultimate comedown

Two gears operate

On a 2D animation

I spring like an acrobat

Or dissolve into thin air

Cascading lifeblood

Falls from my deathless head

But what if the abyss is all there is

And I’m just somebody’s gagman

In a wild circus show?

Or just a clown?

Laughing at the ultimate comedown

Wind clash with crystal spheres

That hold the sun and moon in place

Underwater bombs explode

Into a constant flow of fates
