Why am I shy?

I know what you’re thinking… «how could one guy be so shy?»

Well, I haven’t been shy all my life

In fact, I remember a time where I wasn’t shy at all

It was just last year in the third grade school musical

I played the part of a tree

Sure, I was nervous.

Who wouldn’t be?

Being a tree ain’t easy…

And all those people are just staring at me…

But when I got on that stag, I wasn’t shaking like a leaf

Und ich flippte aus (ausflippen) und tat so, als hätte ich meine Stimme verloren, aber das war nur ein

Ich wollte ein Mädchen zum Tanz einladen und wusste genau, wie ich es machen würde

Denn ich stammelte und stotterte und schrie und schwitzte und fing sogar an zu weinen

Warum bin ich schüchtern?

Ich weiß, was du denkst … „Wie kann ein Typ so schüchtern sein?“

Nun, ich war mein ganzes Leben lang nicht schüchtern

Tatsächlich erinnere ich mich an eine Zeit, in der ich überhaupt nicht schüchtern war

Es war erst letztes Jahr im Musical der dritten Grundschule

Ich habe die Rolle eines Baums gespielt

Sicher, ich war nervös.

Wer wäre das nicht?

Ein Baum zu sein ist nicht einfach…

Und all diese Leute starren mich nur an …

Aber als ich auf diesen Hirsch stieg, zitterte ich nicht wie Espenlaub

Ich war ich.

Manchmal möchte ich einfach aufgeben und den ganzen Tag drinnen bleiben

Aber allein und eingesperrt würde das keinen Spaß machen

Ich habe vielleicht noch nicht den Mut, aber ich bin zumindest bereit, es zu versuchen …
