I woke up and on the wall I saw light

It looked just like a lake

But it scared me

I don’t know why

And as I stared

I saw things

And it changed me

But something wasn’t right

With the light

Was I still dreaming?

So I got up and I walked over to this lake

And I saw people on the other side

It wasn’t hard to tell

They didn’t look all that well

So I called out ‘cause I thought I could help

But no one had eyes

So they couldn’t see

That no one had ears

So they couldn’t hear me

Then I felt the earth quake

As a voice from the lake

Spoke these words and it instantly calmed me

«I hear you call

I hear them all.»

Then it said:

«Life, she is a mystery

And there’s more to all of this that she ain’t telling me

So tonight it’s like a lake

Sit so still and pretty, makes your heart ache

But these days don’t it all just make your heart ache?»

Ich wachte auf und an der Wand sah ich Licht

Es sah aus wie ein See

Aber es hat mir Angst gemacht

Ich weiß nicht warum

Und als ich starrte

Ich habe Dinge gesehen

Und es hat mich verändert

Aber etwas stimmte nicht

Mit dem Licht

Habe ich immer noch geträumt?

Also stand ich auf und ging hinüber zu diesem See

Und ich sah Menschen auf der anderen Seite

Es war nicht schwer zu sagen

Sie sahen nicht so gut aus

Also habe ich gerufen, weil ich dachte, ich könnte helfen

Aber niemand hatte Augen

Sie konnten es also nicht sehen

Dass niemand Ohren hatte

Sie konnten mich also nicht hören

Dann fühlte ich das Erdbeben

Als eine Stimme aus dem See

Sprach diese Worte und es beruhigte mich sofort

«Ich höre dich rufen

Ich höre sie alle.“

Dann hieß es:

«Das Leben, sie ist ein Mysterium

Und es gibt noch mehr von all dem, was sie mir nicht erzählt

Heute Nacht ist es also wie ein See

Sitzen Sie so still und hübsch, dass Ihr Herz schmerzt

Aber tut dir heutzutage nicht alles nur weh?»
