The stupid policeman accepted that

Up came the Inspector

And ask him what is the matter

So he jump out he car in a hurry

Because if a man catch the Queen’s canary

His reward is supposed to be heavy

Well without any delay

Sent the policeman two blocks away

Of all the dirty tricks upon the shelf

So he raise the hat very slowly

Feeling for the Queen’s canary

But when he snatch, he hold something soft instead…

Er sagte: „Ich konnte das Vögelchen nicht so lassen

Ich fürchte, es würde fliegen und verschwinden

Wenn Sie es für mich in Deckung halten könnten

Ich würde mir einen Käfig besorgen und schnell wiederkommen»

Der dumme Polizist akzeptierte das

Bückte sich auf die Straße und hielt den Hut

Der Inspektor kam heran

Und frag ihn, was los ist

Er sagte: „Der Kanarienvogel der Königin fliegt davon…

Aber ah hab es zugedeckt, dey»

Der Inspektor war sehr, sehr gierig

Also springt er in Eile aus dem Auto

Denn wenn ein Mann den Kanarienvogel der Königin fängt

Seine Belohnung soll schwer sein

Nun, ohne Verzögerung

Schickte den Polizisten zwei Blocks weiter

Von all den schmutzigen Tricks im Regal

Er wollte das Belohnungsgeld für sich selbst

Also hebt er den Hut sehr langsam

Gefühl für den Kanarienvogel der Königin
