One day

the dark clouds did circle

though I choose to not look so high

as denial was my default

And one day

the voice couldn’t stop me

anatrophy deep in the mind

in the dead of night it wakes me

to the blackest room it takes me

just to show how much it hates me

This low

the seventh sorrow

oppressing me more with every blow

as destiny drowns in the undertow

this could be it for me

And one day

I stared far beyond you

to find I was lost in myself

no matter what mask I wore

And one day

the cruel light of mourning

my days were as bleak as my dreams

when I’d suffered one to four

the fifth and sixth hurt more

as the black dog howls at my door

This low

the seventh sorrow

oppressing me more with every blow

as destiny drowns in the undertow

this could be it for me

Ein Tag

die dunklen Wolken kreisten

obwohl ich mich entscheide, nicht so hoch auszusehen

da Ablehnung meine Standardeinstellung war

Und eines Tages

Die Stimme konnte mich nicht aufhalten

Anatrophie tief im Geist

mitten in der Nacht weckt es mich

in den schwärzesten Raum, den es mich bringt

nur um zu zeigen, wie sehr es mich hasst

Dieses Tief

das siebte Leid

bedrückt mich mit jedem Schlag mehr

als das Schicksal im Sog ertrinkt

das könnte es für mich sein

Und eines Tages

Ich starrte weit über dich hinaus

zu finden, dass ich in mir selbst verloren war

egal welche Maske ich trug

Und eines Tages

das grausame Licht der Trauer

meine Tage waren so trostlos wie meine Träume

als ich eins bis vier erlitten hatte

der fünfte und der sechste schmerzten mehr

wie der schwarze Hund an meiner Tür heult

Dieses Tief

das siebte Leid

bedrückt mich mit jedem Schlag mehr

als das Schicksal im Sog ertrinkt

das könnte es für mich sein
