Well I got myself a T-shirt that says what I believe

I got letters on my bracelet to serve as my ID

I got the necklace and the key chain

And almost everything a good Christian needs, yeah

I got the little Bible magnets on my refrigerator door

And a welcome mat to bless you before you walk across my floor

I got a Jesus bumper sticker

And the outline of a fish stuck on my car

And even though this stuff’s all well and good, yeah

I cannot help but ask myself--

What about the change

What about the difference

What about the grace

What about forgiveness

What about a life that’s showing

I’m undergoing the change, yeah

Well I’ve got this way of thinking that comes so naturally

Where I believe the whole world is revolving around me

And I got this way of living that I have to die to every single day

'Cause if God’s Spirit lives inside of me, yeah

Nun, ich habe mir ein T-Shirt besorgt, das sagt, was ich glaube

Ich habe Buchstaben auf meinem Armband, die als meinen Ausweis dienen

Ich habe die Halskette und den Schlüsselanhänger

Und fast alles, was ein guter Christ braucht, ja

Ich habe die kleinen Bibelmagnete an meiner Kühlschranktür

Und eine Willkommensmatte, um dich zu segnen, bevor du über meine Etage gehst

Ich habe einen Jesus-Autoaufkleber

Und der Umriss eines Fisches klebte an meinem Auto

Und obwohl dieses Zeug alles schön und gut ist, ja

Ich kann nicht anders, als mich zu fragen –

Was ist mit der Änderung

Was ist mit dem Unterschied

Was ist mit der Gnade

Was ist mit Vergebung

Was ist mit einem Leben, das sich zeigt?

Ich mache die Veränderung durch, ja

Ich erlebe die Veränderung

Nun, ich habe diese Denkweise, die so natürlich ist

Wo ich glaube, dass sich die ganze Welt um mich dreht

Und ich habe diese Art zu leben, für die ich jeden Tag sterben muss

Denn wenn Gottes Geist in mir lebt, ja

Ich werde das Leben anders leben

Ich werde das Wechselgeld haben

Ich werde den Unterschied haben

Ich werde die Gnade haben

Ich werde Vergebung haben

Ich werde ein Leben führen, das sich zeigt
