Some say the song of a crow is a cry\nSome say the cry of a crow is a lie\nI wonder what it’s like to be one of them\nDo they get jealous?\nAre some blacker\nAnd therefore creators of envy and mistrust in the dark hearts\nOf their brethren?\nOr do they just exist\nScavenging crumbs of carrion here and there\nLaughing, cackling really\nAt the two legged pestilence\nPainfully fouling the ground beneath their airborne pirouettes\nDo they really want their screaching and hideous demanding offspring\nOr do they simply have no choice\nBut to follow compulsions blindly\nDriving them into situations they cannot control\nSituations that look so easy and desirable\nBut lead only to the same pain\nAnd the same suffering\nAnd the same lifeless branches that always indicate\nA barrier of barren emptiness\nDead trees are everywhere
