Foghat ist eine britische Rockband, die 1971 in London gegründet wurde. Bekannt für ihren Bluesrock-Stil, feierte die Gruppe Mitte bis Ende der 1970er-Jahre große Erfolge und erhielt fünf Goldene Schallplatten. Zu ihren bekanntesten Hits zählen "Slow Ride" und "Fool for the City" , die bis heute fester Bestandteil des Classic-Rock-Radios sind. Trotz eines Popularitätsrückgangs Anfang der 1980er-Jahre prägte Foghat mit ihren energiegeladenen Auftritten und ihrem unverwechselbaren Sound das Rockgenre nachhaltig. Die Band wird weiterhin für ihren Beitrag zum bluesbeeinflussten Hardrock gefeiert.
