Never let you see the ache they carry

All of those anonymous ones

Who never name that quiet pain they bury

So they keep on keeping secrets that they think they have to hide

But what if everybody’s secret is they have that secret side?

And to know they’re somehow not alone

Well, that’s all they’re hoping for

What if they didn’t have to stay

Anonymous anymore?

Spot the girl who stays in motion

She spins so fast so she won’t fall

She’s built a wall with her achievements

To keep out the question

«Without it, is she worth anything at all?»

So nobody can know

Just what the cracks might show

How deep and dark they go

There are those anonymous ones

Stuck inside the perfect frame they’re faking

Who pick themselves apart 'til they start breaking

Und zu wissen, dass sie irgendwie nicht allein sind

Nun, das ist alles, worauf sie hoffen

Was wäre, wenn sie nicht bleiben müssten?

Finde das Mädchen, das in Bewegung bleibt

Sie dreht sich so schnell, dass sie nicht herunterfällt

Sie hat mit ihren Leistungen eine Mauer gebaut

Um die Frage auszuschließen

«Ist sie ohne sie überhaupt etwas wert?»

Sie stecken in dem perfekten Rahmen fest, den sie vortäuschen

Die sich selbst zerpflücken, bis sie anfangen zu brechen

Und wir bewahren weiterhin Geheimnisse, von denen wir glauben, dass wir sie verstecken müssen

Aber was wir wirklich brauchen, ist jemand, der diese geheime Seite sieht

Und zu wissen, dass wir irgendwie nicht allein sind, ist alles, worauf wir hoffen

Und das müssten wir nicht sein
