Twenty seven thousand tons on my shoulder blades

Growing up I always thought that I would have it made

I always thought that I would be this crazy rap guy

That traveled around the world, twenty four hours I would stay high

And no matter what happens I go to keep pushing

Past barriers that will block me and the dreams I am pursuing

I remember sitting silent, I was staring at the blank paper

My mind was racing but I’d put it off until later

I’m getting tired of doing all the same shit

On the daily I slay dragons, go to Europe on a day trip

It’s amazing, I’m getting really old

Es ist erstaunlich, ich werde wirklich alt

Ich möchte die Seiten umblättern, während sich dieses Kapitelbuch entfaltet

Ein weiterer Tag vergeht und ich mache immer noch nichts

Es ist jeden Tag dasselbe, ich muss nur etwas finden

Ich lerne gerade, dass diese Welt böse ist

Und wie man mit dem Strom schwimmen kann

In den letzten Wochen habe ich meine Stimme verloren

Ich bin an dem Punkt, an dem ich etwas Glück brauche
