I might be burning

but I’m being brave faced

It don’t mean much now

'cause I know that I’m wasted

still I wonder about you

All that I care for

is all that is faithful

Can’t say I’ve ever been too sure

Guess what I don’t know can’t be misleading

But it’s hard to ignore

I need to notice

'cause I’m not fearless

Nobodie’s fearless

and you don’t say it ain’t true

I’ve built my courage

like a concrete castle

To give you that poem

in the bottom of your draw

I can’t say this lightly

I guess fate has it’s own way

and who are we to choose

Ich könnte brennen

aber ich bin tapfer konfrontiert

Es bedeutet jetzt nicht viel

weil ich weiß, dass ich besoffen bin

ich wundere mich immer noch über dich

Alles, was mir wichtig ist

ist alles, was treu ist

Ich kann nicht sagen, dass ich mir jemals zu sicher war

Ratet mal, was ich nicht weiß, kann nicht irreführend sein

Aber es ist schwer zu ignorieren

Ich muss bemerken

weil ich nicht furchtlos bin

Niemand ist furchtlos

und du sagst nicht, dass es nicht wahr ist

Ich habe meinen Mut aufgebaut

wie eine Betonburg

Ich denke, das Schicksal hat seinen eigenen Weg

und wen sollen wir wählen
