Self revealing?

Bringing this otherness, opening the door

To some other place that I’ve not known before

Blurred 'round the edges, stripped to the core

The fantasy just can’t sustain it no more

Was it always this late?

Where did time take a shortcut?

Where are the tracks of the hours inbetween?

When life was waiting for us?

Stuck in this otherness that’s opened the door

Thrown out of synch like some old acidhead

Awoken from dreams to find nightmares instead

The night is all around me

And dawn has never seemed so far away

Wie konnte ich es nicht sehen?

Wie konnte es so rücksichtslos aufholen

Schnell und stabil

Wie kommt es, dass es so lange gedauert hat?

Ich habe keine Antworten, die ich Ihnen verkaufen könnte

Wie kommt es, dass sich das Lächeln in Stirnrunzeln verwandelt hat?

Selbsterklärend?

Dieses Anderssein bringen, die Tür öffnen

An einen anderen Ort, den ich noch nicht kannte

An den Rändern verschwommen, bis auf den Kern entblößt

Die Fantasie kann es einfach nicht mehr aufrechterhalten

War es schon immer so spät?

Wo hat die Zeit eine Abkürzung genommen?

Wo sind die Spuren der Stunden dazwischen?

Als das Leben auf uns wartete?

Festgefahren in diesem Anderssein, das die Tür geöffnet hat

An einen anderen Ort, den ich noch nicht kannte

Aus dem Takt geraten wie ein alter Acidhead

Aus Träumen erwacht, um stattdessen Albträume zu finden

Die Nacht ist überall um mich herum

Und die Morgendämmerung schien noch nie so weit weg zu sein
