Looking through my hotel window

In a third world country

Yes I’m looking through my hotel window

In a third world country

The sun is shining the skies are blue

And there’s a cool breeze passing through

The plants are green it’s a beautiful scene

Seems like a nice place for human beings

But there’s people on the streets, no shoes on their feet

They gotta hustle to get a little food to eat

I know that things shouldn’t be this way

But what can I do, what can I say?

There are oh so many problems

And I wish that I could solve them

But even with inspiration

Right direction and good intention

No man is an island so won’t somebody give a hand

For the people in the third world

Die Sonne scheint, der Himmel ist blau

Und es weht eine kühle Brise

Die Pflanzen sind grün, es ist eine wunderschöne Szene

Scheint ein netter Ort für Menschen zu sein

Aber da sind Leute auf der Straße, keine Schuhe an den Füßen

Sie müssen sich beeilen, um etwas zu essen zu bekommen

Ich weiß, dass die Dinge nicht so sein sollten

Aber was kann ich tun, was kann ich sagen?

Es gibt so viele Probleme

Und ich wünschte, ich könnte sie lösen

Aber auch mit Inspiration

Richtige Richtung und gute Absicht

Niemand ist eine Insel, also wird niemand helfen

Für die Menschen in der Dritten Welt

Da sind Leute auf den Straßen, keine Schuhe an den Füßen

Sie müssen sich beeilen, um etwas zu essen zu bekommen

Ich weiß, dass die Dinge nicht so sein sollten
