When your world around you crumbles

And there’s no one left to love

That includes yourself

So you go out to the basics

To the wind or the sea or the sky

And you’ve got the strength and you sense the love

But you don’t know the reason why

And you torture yourself silly

With your head held in your hands

And you make some sort of peace

That lasts awhile

But by God there’s an answer

And it rests inside us all

If we take the time to suffer

Through the endless painful call

For life consists of suffering

And life is made of pain

And if you do not know what happiness is

It’s moments

The moments of a feeling

The moments of a glance

The moments that we try to hold

In our hearts and in our hands

And the moments made by anger

And the moments made by awe

But The moments made of wonder

Count the most

So you have your choice of living

And you have your choice of death

And you have your choice of love or hate, but it’s you the makes the rest
