Classic Jazz - The Starting Line

Lights come on from neighbors woken up and the flash

is our cue for the dash to the car to the back porch,

where we laugh and we pass to the left and reflect

on expected repetativenes.

The Dial didn’t slip an inch from that station.

We were floating in your room to the songs of classic

jazz flowing all night long.

As fast as we’re leading our lives,

it’s music that still makes us come out at night for good times.

Lighten up cause its summer and we’re just having fun.

We’re too young to be out-running and ducking the fuzz.

But your room was a safer than a spacious place witht

the clarinet filling the entire thing.

The dial didn’t slip and inch from that station that

would play the hits of our grandparents' time,

while I flawlessly chime in at the hit of the ride and say…

Static.there's nothing but static programed by popular

demand… and then a light appeared directly over my

head and it illuminated as great as the idea that came.

It was simple, we won’t listen to commercials or the

same ten songs over and over and over…

I’m flying from your room to the sun with classic jazz

still spilling from my lungs.

Lichter gehen an von Nachbarn geweckt und der Blitz

ist unser Stichwort für den Sprung zum Auto zur hinteren Veranda,

wo wir lachen und nach links gehen und nachdenken

auf erwartete Wiederholungen.

Die Wählscheibe rutschte keinen Zentimeter von dieser Station ab.

Wir schwebten in Ihrem Zimmer zu den Liedern der Klassik

Jazz, der die ganze Nacht fließt.

So schnell wie wir unser Leben führen,

Es ist Musik, die uns immer noch dazu bringt, nachts für gute Zeiten herauszukommen.

Entspann dich, denn es ist Sommer und wir haben einfach nur Spaß.

Wir sind zu jung, um davonzulaufen und uns vor dem Flaum zu ducken.

Aber Ihr Zimmer war sicherer als ein geräumiger Ort ohne

die Klarinette füllt das Ganze.

Das Zifferblatt verrutschte nicht und Zoll von dieser Station

spielte die Hits aus der Zeit unserer Großeltern,

während ich tadellos beim Hit der Fahrt einstimme und sage ...

Static.there ist nichts als statisch programmiert von beliebt

Nachfrage … und dann erschien ein Licht direkt über meinem

Kopf und es leuchtete so großartig wie die Idee, die kam.

Es war ganz einfach, wir hören keine Werbespots oder ähnliches

dieselben zehn Songs immer und immer und immer wieder …

Ich fliege mit klassischem Jazz von deinem Zimmer zur Sonne

strömt immer noch aus meiner Lunge.
