40 Days - Third Day

Here I am at what feels like the end

And so I come to You, my Lord, again

With this burden buried deep within

This heart that You have made

In this trial that I’m going through

I don’t question 'cause I know it’s true

That the sorrow brings me back to You

And You have made me stronger

It’s been forty days and forty nights

Down the road of many trials

And I pray it’s only for a season

'Cause in the wilderness and in the flood

You’re the one I’m thinking of

And I know You’ve brought me for a reason

I have one more thing I’ve got to say

Before they try to take my life away

Let it be known that I am not afraid

Let You will be done, Lord

Hier bin ich an einem gefühlten Ende

Und so komme ich wieder zu Dir, mein Herr

Mit dieser Last, die tief in mir vergraben ist

Dieses Herz, das du gemacht hast

In dieser Prüfung, die ich durchmache

Ich hinterfrage nicht, weil ich weiß, dass es wahr ist

Dass die Trauer mich zu dir zurückbringt

Und du hast mich stärker gemacht

Es ist vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte her

Auf dem Weg vieler Prüfungen

Und ich bete, dass es nur für eine Saison ist

Denn in der Wildnis und in der Flut

Du bist derjenige, an den ich denke

Und ich weiß, dass du mich aus einem bestimmten Grund hergebracht hast

Ich muss noch etwas sagen

Bevor sie versuchen, mir das Leben zu nehmen

Lass es wissen, dass ich keine Angst habe

Lass es geschehen, Herr
