I think of art in weird terms

I really believe that art and expression should be limitless

And you should be able to explore themes that are grotesque or dark

And engage with those thoughts and just put them down and look at them like

they are

'Cause at the day of the day you aren’t your thoughts or your feelings

Your actions are the most important things about you

And I think CANADA for me was a good sign of that

That song came out of a dark place and I put it out into the world and I love it

But at the same time that’s not me, I think through that I figured out a lot

about my art

And a lot about these fucked up thoughts that I can have and that we all have

I think it’s important to engage with those and at least try and sort 'em out,

try and do something better

I think on a song like TTYL that’s me at my rawest

I wrote that song shortly after my ex got engaged and it finally felt

It finally felt like I was able to let go of a situation that was super dark

and cloudy and fucked up

In a very beautiful way

And that’s what this project’s about, it’s like

Although you have these dark thoughts or feelings or bad days

As long as you don’t encompass that in your being, that’s not you

Ich glaube wirklich, dass Kunst und Ausdruck grenzenlos sein sollten

Und Sie sollten in der Lage sein, Themen zu erkunden, die grotesk oder düster sind

Und ich denke, KANADA war für mich ein gutes Zeichen dafür

Dieses Lied kam aus einem dunklen Ort und ich habe es in die Welt hinausgetragen und ich liebe es

Aber gleichzeitig bin ich das nicht, ich denke, dass ich viel herausgefunden habe

über meine Kunst

Und viel über diese beschissenen Gedanken, die ich haben kann und die wir alle haben

Ich denke, es ist wichtig, sich mit ihnen zu beschäftigen und zumindest zu versuchen, sie zu sortieren,

Versuchen Sie, etwas Besseres zu tun

Ich denke, bei einem Song wie TTYL bin ich in meiner reinsten Form

Ich schrieb dieses Lied kurz nachdem mein Ex sich verlobt hatte und es fühlte sich endlich an

Es fühlte sich endlich so an, als könnte ich eine superdunkle Situation loslassen

und bewölkt und beschissen

Auf eine sehr schöne Art und Weise

Und genau darum geht es bei diesem Projekt

Obwohl Sie diese dunklen Gedanken oder Gefühle oder schlechten Tage haben

Solange du das nicht in deinem Wesen umfasst, bist du es nicht

Das ist Frauenfeindlichkeit
