I felt I’d been down every alley

Beaten down every door

Till I could barely account for what I’d been looking toward

And then she took a turn into my record store

And I knew I wasn’t gonna have to look anymore

And it’s all about the context that you put things in

That you put us in, that we put ourselves in

Nothing hurts like a context

That you don’t want to be in

Ich hatte das Gefühl, in jeder Gasse gewesen zu sein

Jede Tür niedergeschlagen

Bis ich kaum erklären konnte, wonach ich gesucht hatte

Und dann bog sie in meinen Plattenladen ein

Und ich wusste, dass ich nicht mehr hinschauen musste
