That night they fell asleep within the comfort of that bed

A strange wind was whispering just what the wife had said

There was a dog instead

So freundlich er nur sein kann …

Dieser Mann hatte kein Gefallen an der Schönheit des Landes

Geld war das einzige, was er verstehen konnte

Egoistisch wie eine Muschel war er

Lass den Rest verdammt sein

Dann fand seine Frau eines Morgens einen Wunschbrunnen

So glücklich wie nur möglich …

In dieser Nacht schliefen sie bequem in diesem Bett ein
